Curly Quilted Maple Veneer - GOOD PRICE??????
Hi,
I have the opportunity to buy some bookmatched curly quilted maple veneer from the USA..It looks as though the quilting is pretty good..I'll be using it as a cap on a solid body electric guitar..
I have no idea if the price is good, but I was hoping some of you would be able to tell me, as I'm a beginner and don't really know much about it...
The veneer is approx 1/42 of an inch thick with total dimensions of about 16 x 21 inches. I can get it for about US$17 per set not including postage, which would be about US$35-40 insured air mail for a few sets (about 5)...
Please let me know asap, as I'm running out of time to let this guy know!!! Thank you all very much!!!!Last edited by fehgalloway; 14th July 2004 at 11:51 AM.

The answer really depends on if you are prepared to pay it. Highly figured Australian veneers run at about 60-80/m2. Have a look at the anton gerner (sp?) web site for the upper end of the bracket.
