Product Name Please
Would someone like to give me a description, product name, place of purchase and price of the goo you use to paint on the end grain of green timber to slow down moisture loss during seasonning.
I have just sliced up some small white cedar limbs that need to be "painted" and my next mission will be to have a go at some sheoak.
These sheoaks are only about 300mm diameter, any guidance/tips would be appreciated.
After reading on this forum I put together an Alaskan Mill to have a go at breaking down some "firewood" into boards that I can better utilise. Yes it is fun and addictive.
Regards Rod

Plastic house paint has some advantages. It dries quickly and smoothly an dirt does not stick to it easily. End sealer is a waxy material that takes a long time to dry - It never really ever goes dry and picks up grit and small rocks which can be a PITA.
