Fourth quarter
The working board surface was Surformed flat again and the last one of the four pieces temporarily racked up. The wood is from an unknown type of Eucalyptus, ex-pallet slats and bearers, liquid nightmared, soaked in a linseed oil/bitumen paint mix for a few weeks and dried for months. Its spine got a few touches of Cadmium red oil paint for now.

Huon hearts
Kocked up a temporary frame and hung 30 copper wires at seven cm spacings. Yet to be added are 30 horizontal wires and 9 hundred Huon hearts which will be held at each intersection of the wires threaded through them. It'll stay outside open to the elements mercy until completed Not a good pic but hopefully it gives some idea

Thanks Craw, the new workshop hasn't had as much activity going on that I would've liked but I've got some time off between Xmas and New Year that should see things fire up. Just trying to prepare things now like measuring and marking up and getting bits and pieces ready for action

Ah a Spotlight not a spotlight, I thought you must have been going to dazzle them or shoot them undie. Spotlight and art suppliers ie Eckerslies etc are always good for a snoop around, lots of handy things.

Yep Thanks Undy...hmmm perhaps I don't have to go to the girly store...I'll head for the fishn tackle shop first, they think I'm a big game fishaman there, last time there I brought 100 M of 200lb line which I used for stitching bits of wood together
Craw, eventually it'll all hang from a rail at the top, I'll use crimps on the vertical wires as support for the weight on the horizontal wires, that's the theory anyway

Oh, you mean you ferrules, to like make an eye loop and then crimp them. Yep fishing tackle or boat chandlers. Or even some electrical crimp lugs with the plastic taken off.

I think so, I know what I want but maybe got the name wrong, just something to clamp onto the wire would do but needs to clamp a 1mm wire, not cut in and make it weak and be less than 2mm when clamped. Probably need two sizes, the bigger hearts have 3mm holes. I'm thinking the whole idea is misconceived at the mo, what to do, stop or keep going, work it through, adapt, what's the worth, plenty of negativity.
Gotta get a birthday present finished by the morning so that got precedence and will be good to keep my mind off things.

So be a little more precise with you're issue and we'll see if we can help. One other idea off the cuff is that it is copper wire, you could always solder/silver solder something to them.
