Default Carbatec TSC 10HB-R table Saw

I have taken the plunge and purchased one of the above from Carbatec in Brisbane, the R on the end signifies Router..
Meaning it will come with a router hole in the left side wing.
I intend fitting my large triton router under the table and leaving it in situ.
Has anyone had any dealings with this saw and the fitting of the triton router.
    looking forward to any replies.
    Steve

    SteveW,

Might I suggest you look at what JillB has to say about this saw here https://www.woodworkforums.com/f153/table-103725

My TSC-10HB Table saw has arrived from Carbatec.
This is from a feshly imported batch with a manufacture date of July 2009.
One item of notice that I am concerned about is the motor pulley belts. The specifications in the carbatec catalogue clearly state three belts, upon installation I noticed that mine only has only the one belt.
Can any other owners of the TSC-10HB confirm how many belts they have on their version ,before I ring carbatec,is there any advantages having three belts or disadvantages having only the one belt.
    Cheers

    Durrrr,
Solved my own problem ,got a really strong light and stuck my boof head in the enclosure, sure enough the one wide belt I saw was in fact three smaller belts side by side.
looking at stronger glasses,(reading ) not drinking type.
    Cheers.

    Default Fitting the router

Steve, how did you go with the Triton router on the LH extension plate? Was it a success? Was it a easy fit for the router? What did you use for an insert in the 100mm hole in the extension plate?

How did you get on for dust extraction?

If you have done it, any chance of some photos please?

    regards,
    Jill

    Works like a dream.
The extension wing comes with the slots cast in underneath and the clips, slides, nuts etc all come with the table saw kit.
I used the supplied insert,it comes with two sizes.
Still working on the dust extraction at the moment.
I stii have not made up my mind regarding the fence as yet.You can buy one from Carbatec at $240 ( Made for this table and extension wing) or do I look around at the other types of fences out there.Any advice appreciated.
I dont have the camera handy at this time to takes snapshots.
    Cheers.

This is really good new - well done Steve. Thanks for this information, sorry I can't help with the fence, but I would suggest making your own with a dust port fitted. I have seen a drawing of one fence. It was built as a U shape with a base about 200 x 700 with two upright sides running the length of the saw fence. One long side was bolted to the saw fence, and moved sideways with the fence, the other long side was the fence for the router, with the dust port fitted.

Thinking out loud, you could make this a long box arrangement, rather than a long U shape, and connect a 4in hose at the far end. The problem remains as to how to fix the box to the table saw fence

    regards,
    Jill
