yeah, looks like you're having fun there Iggy,
I reckon this would work really well as a woodblock print.
keep us posted
what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

-just love that sheep , Iggy- never seen one with such not-sheepish expression on it's face -waiting for more!
Frank , sorry not to answer earlier , had problems with my Internet connection - the deep gouges I mentioned are for the rough job , as substitutes for the router-and I usualy go for 2+ cm. of depth.Just as you say , I use flat gouges for cleaning the background , usualy bent or spoon-bent ones. As for tight places , I have 3 , 4 and 6 mm. bits for the router :It's a slow and painful process...the secret is, dont mind the pain.(Ian Norbury)

That's amazing, Ivan (and unsanded, it appears! ) Is it a restoration, and did you darken it to match an existing patina?
I really need to get somebody to teach me how to use a router, tried 30 years ago, got nowhere and never tried again.

Light, shade and in betweens
Hello hello hello what's going on here then, that's some change in direction there Iggy looks fun from here too It's when you let go of the drawing that things will start to get interesting. I wonder if working under one source of light would be beneficial to getting the lights and shades right within that sort of work?

The mind boggles thinking what you would do to vodka then...
Back to your question, Iggy: I would agree with Underfoot that the thickness and the design would suggest a woodblock for printing, Huon would be far too soft for that though. To get a good 3d effect with that design would be too difficult for me, hope that somebody with better 2->3 d skills than I have (I know whom, but I'm not telling ) will come up with good suggestions.

Have reached working depth on the cow and pig, now comes the sheep. Have to confess to a moment (or two) of weakness and brought out the burrs for some of the tight areas
