    Default My 1st carving

    This was my 1st serious attempt at carving. The timber is from a pallet that I scrounged. I think it Pawlonia. Finished with Button Lac.

    ...just wondering ,...whats button lac?

    minimally refined shellac, before the colour is removed. Its a bit like hash in that the good stuff is stamped. see Button Lac, Dewaxed Shellac, Hand Made Shellac, Machine Made Shellac, Shellac, Shellac Exporter, India

    great carvin there sebastiaan be a good`n in the kitchen for them after long nights make you feel better straight away i`ll have some of the stamped stuff danny
