Good work Sebastiaan. Looks like you have about 18 still available at this stage, give Iggy and doubtful ones a go and I will keep my word to take whatever you still want to sell.

suggested I do a search on tagua nuts on here. Of course! There is nothing not already talked about on our WWF! Anyway, as well as some interesting threads I found this link. (Turning AND carving. ) Wood turning with Grandpa Spragg.

Actually, not much carving.

played for about 1/2 hr with a few different tools,
tougher stuff than I expected
sanded brown stuff off....scratched at it with no.1 knife...and tried a couple of burrs in the dremel.
what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

I found even the brown stuff took a bit of time to remove, by the looks of things I used the same method you did!
I never tried chisels/knives on them before, does it compare to timber in anyway?
Cheers
Josh
p.s. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished piece!

Ok guys, thanks to Sebastiaan now I have nuts. Should we have a "nut off" then?
Has anybody tried burins, like those for woodprints?
