    Keep a firm grip on the hand piece, Typhoon bits carve carvers just as effectively as carvings . In fact they will leap out of your grasp, across the work and up the other hand

    Yep, very important!
    I now wear a glove on my left hand when doing heavy cuts with a typhoon bit after discovering how quickly they can turn flesh into mince meat!
    Also, be careful not to let it get tangled up in your clothes, that's a quick way to snap the inner shaft! I've been meaning too get a heavy leather apron for a while now....
