lemon scented gum
I arrived late in the arvo yesterday to find the supervisors already on the job

I think they were happy
I cut this down a couple of months ago at a blokes place that he demolished, gonna rebuild
Attachment 120303
my rails are about 2.3m long, with the extension piece I can add about 600 to both ends so in use I can do a bit over 3m so a longer log I have to set up string lines to set my rail up for the entire length of log
Attachment 120304
I adjust the depths of my cutouts until all measurments r the same down to the stringline

firsr piece off

with the smooth hard sapwood the saw tended to ride up a bit if I wasn't paying attention so finish is a little rough in spots, I now think it definatley helps if the edge on the lead wheel digs into the bark/sapwood

Does it look like a LSG?

I cant recall any bees hanging round Bob, I have seen them go at the mango sap that oozes from a cut.
Is spotted gum darker, more choclate brown I only say that cos a bloke I know said the bit I had was spotty and it was chokky brown

Hi Sawdust,
It would seem it has interchangeable common names, I read that somewhere else as well.
