Question about some Split AC wiring
Hi Lads,
It's been a while since iv'e installed an AC unit and some things are different, likely beacause different units need different wiring.
Last time i put a unit in was about 5 years ago lol. That had a 4mm T&E TPS running from the board to the outdoor unit then a 2.5mm T&E tps with a 2.5mm SDI running from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit.
The one i'm doing soon in my house has an L1 (for cooling) + L2 & L3 for heat (I suppose the one i installed years ago was not a reverse cycle therefore the L2+L3 was not applicable)
I am aware that i can just wire the L1 cooling and leave the others so it's just cooling but my wife is bugging me and wants the full feature so i have to wire in the other two.
The question is, is this just a twin active from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit?
Also the indoor unit comes with a 10a plug, i assume this is for the LCD only?
Thanks heaps :)
Phil.
