Grad show photos
Well after three years I have finally finished my degree and I thought I would post some photos of the installation of our graduate show. It opens on thursday night and while I'm not expecting to sell any sculptures I think a few of the prints will go. I also realise the photos look appalling but I'll take the time to shoot better ones later.
Just for scale, the columns (or shrines as I call them) are 2m tall and the prints on the wall are 1600mm long.
Cheers
Josh
p.s. I am looking forward to getting back to doing some work that's just for me!

It's at the Gordon TAFE basement studios. I've attached a copy of the invite with all the details.

congrats Josh, well done, great looking show
now you're going to have to change your forum name, can't see any turning there at all
what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

Thanks guys!
Well... if I'm completely honest I did rough out the shell on the lathe
I do actually like using the lathe to get things into shape and while my previous idea of carving was more like embellishing turned forms, I have some plans to turn that all around (no pun intended). So I'll wait to see how these pan out before doing anything drastic.
Cheers
Josh

Thanks for the offer Josh ..... I will try and make it tomorrow night depending on when I finish work and what the traffic is like. Is it open to the public tomorrow?

Went along last night to see the work on display.
There is Josh or is it BJ now and 3 other students displaying their work.
All very good in their own feilds.
Small display but worth the look.
Now we look forward to when Josh can exhibit in his own right.Jim Carroll
