hand plane tuning article in FWW
Just a post to allert members that there is an article in fine wood working october 2004 issue 172 ( just arrived )on tuning hand planes. wouldn't call it the difinitive text but worth a read for those who are interested.
also article in card scrapers & a bar clamp comparo.

I just bought the August issue the day it arrived at the Newsagent, last week.

Taunton really seem to have their act together with the subscriptions. I think I even got my latest issue before it was on sale on the US news stands!

If you read fine wood working Its soooo much cheaper to subscribe.
Their delivery times have improved out of sight in the last few years, at one time it was on the aust news satnds before it came in the letter box.
Its a bugger though I only get about two days out of a FWW.

Compare that with $15 to $19 over here.
I wasn't prepared to pay $15 an issue for a magazine fulled with mostly useless advertising.
But seven or eight dollars is much more reasonable.
