Turnings from my workshop
Below are some of the latest turnings from my workshop (garage).
I found a fresh trunk of Spalted Beech being turned into fire-wood. Thankfully the nice man with the chainsaw was good enough to understand my upset and took some of the best figured stuff out for me (about a 1/4 ton of the stuff).
I part turned it and left it to dry for 6 months before finishing it.
The bowl and a platter are some of the first items to be finished. (The fruits are yew and laburnum I use for scale.)
The finish is Cellulose Sanding Sealer and Polishing Wax.Dragonfly
No-one suspects the dragonfly!
