Spalted Hazel
Something else I came by from a friend was this piece of Spalted Hazel. It was too good to 'Just turn a bowl' - so it sat in the workshop until I figured what I was going to do with it.
Another friend gave me an old mahogany church pew. When I saw the two together I decided on my first ever display piece.
Difficult to see in the photos but the lid follows around the curve of the bowl when you look through the rim.Dragonfly
No-one suspects the dragonfly!
