Default Good start to the year

Just 10 minutes after returning home from a 2 week holiday, I was unpacking the luggage when I heard an almighty crack and crash. I thought a side of the house had fallen or something but it wasn't that bad.
Over the road on a vacant block is a very large yellow box gum, only now half of it is still standing, the other half is laid out over the block. Fortunately the council came around and started cutting it up. The garage is almost full and it will take about 30 years for the stuff to dry out but at least I have some green blanks now

Nice score there Paul... have you sealed the end grain in any way? If you don't you may have some good burning wood for next winter or at least enough pen blanks to keep you happy for years
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.
