Making Pipes "cough losers cough"
I am not a reformed smoker.....
I am an object orientated phsycoanalytically astutified CLEAN AIR BREATHER.
How can I phrase this about smokers without starting open warfare on people who do smoke, which is just like taking a tiny little gun, with a tiny little bullet and committing suicide - a little bit at a time.
"Smoke? Smoke??? - I don't care if you burn".
I'd much rather a clean hot fire around the stake from the outset tho.
Anyway - I had one of my little obsessions running today... and it was Ebonite - or more commonly Vulcanite - which is a very high sulphur content rubber that is as hard as, and I was looking, looking, looking and thinking, "That stuff would make a great fretboard for a base guitar"....
That was until I found out that over very long periods of time, under light and humidity - it slightly sweats sulphuric acid - and I want my instruments to be functional in several hundred years time..... and not rotting from internal chemical reactions.
So we go to bakelite sheet......
Anyway, in amongst all of this I came across 2 sites;
One guy who makes just absolutely fabulous pipes.
And the other site that process's the briar bulbs.
Although I think men who mope around sucking on pipes, tend to look like insecure neurotic children - with old faces - still sucking on the tit,
The sites are very interesting and they have lots of pictures and the workmanship is superb.
