I am just green with envy, for the burl, but alas I know that the fighting fund would not stretch to purchase and transport the log. Good luck you lucky bugger!

Hey Jim Why didnt you send it up to me when you had the chance!
I would love it but I spent all my money on some Blackwood!Ross"All government in essence," says Emerson, "is tyranny." It matters not whether it is government by divine right or majority rule. In every instance its aim is the absolute subordination of the individual.

Giday fxst...........
So you are from south oz eh......well i was too but had to good sense to move here but a lot later than i should have but have not a regret,i love the timber down here and have had a few good finds so far.Well if you had some sassy i guarantee you wouldnt use it for fire wood it is far too expensive and getting dearer as time goes on,as for this piece it is a very rare find and worth a lot more than i am asking as you never see sassafras burles any where, for some older woodies here they didnt know sassy had burles and have never seen one so perhaps i should put it in my lounge as a talking piece...............lol

Sassy Log
OK guys so if you think it is too expensive then make a realistic offer for this unique and rare log and as you have probably heard on the federal election campaign they are going to try and stop old growth logging here so this kind of log will never be seen again as well as our blackwood and myrtle sorry to say but is is fact.............

The log is not expensive.
Postage to Canberra would be though.
I would love to have it if only I could find a way to get it here without breaking the bank.
400Kg - Do you think they would charge me excess baggage if I put a case handle on it and took it to the airport?
