Jet Lathes
Can anybody tell me of a supplier for Jet Lathes as close to the Central Coast of NSW as possible. I am particularly interested in the Jet variable speed Midi Lathe.
My thanks --- Jonka

I don't know of any dealer's on the central NSW coast ,for Jet lathe's, but Gary at G P W supplies has a excellent reputation as a mail order supplier and is situated just up the road on the Gold Coast. His prices are very competative, and his personal service first rate. I have a Jet 1642 EVS on order with him ,fresh supplies should hit the shores at the end of this month.

I know that Wood-eze in Sydney (www.wood-eze.com.au) can offer the variable speed Jet mini. Maybe check them on the web and contact them about it.
It is NOT a lightweight for its size and looks damn good for small work.
Regards,
Alan

Jonka - Welcome fellow Central Coaster Major Woodworking Equipment are the closest Jet supplier to us, and they're great people to deal with. Also take a look at the Delta lathe from Carbatec - also decent quality and good value, looked at one myself the other day and was quite impressed for the money.
I'm still using my MC900 after 2 years. Still doing the job, but I'd like to upgrade sometime soon.
Jack - Amazon don't ship tools/machines out to Australia unfortunately. The Australian Woodworkers Database - over 3,500 Aussie Woods listed: http://www.aussiewoods.info/

Trend Timbers in Windsor have started to sell Jet lathes. Very good people to deal with.
Best of Luck."the less moving parts there are, the less chance of something going wrong-unless of course you wobble something important at the back"
