    Default "done sandin"

Two more finally finished, the bone sword (camphor laurel and ebony) has been hanging around for nearly 12 months because I hate sanding (finally got it finished because my 9 year old drags me off to the skate park and I was less bored sanding than sitting ). The second sword is Jarrah, Red gum and Qld Beech.

Stunning work Iggy... as always. There's something downright chilling about that first one! You must REALLY like sanding!

They are stunning pieces Iggy. Talk about eye candy!

Is there any chance of a second picture of the second sword, a picture that shows it's depth rather than the 1D perspective?

    thanks

Great work Iggy, I remember those hours at the skate park. Now I wait to pick him up when he gets his V8 ute serviced, it never ends.

Impressive stuff Iggy, prolly should say it's bad, real bad but it's good, real good. The first piece reminds me of a Viking ship with oarsmen or are they standing up with linked arms...doesn't matter...love to see you working with some blacker varieties of wood.

I usually have a small piece of sandpaper in my pocket or in a little tool bag with small objects ready to sand, I get some funny looks from people, as one person said upon first seeing me feverishly sanding away..."I thought you had some nervous affliction"

Yes I've experienced that, sitting at the skate park with work clamped between knees vigourously sanding, getting odd looks from people

Some closeups of the Jarrah sword. The ridge down the center was sanded in.

I like it even more now, especially the pic where the Jarrah looks darker. How come you sanded the ridge in...Jarrah too splintery to carve or something or with sanding you could feel your way in better
