Chuck for Woodfast mini lathe

Does anyone have suggestions for where I might buy a cheap chuck for my Woodfast mini (the thread is 30x3.5)?
I seem to remember in the past Carbatec did a package of mini chuck plus various accessories but I can't find it listed anywhere.

A friend of mine has recently bought a Teknatool G3 from Carba Tec for his M305 and is quite happy with it. See here :

I am using a Hare & Forbes chuck on mine and it also works well.

I've got a Teknatool G3 and wish that i could take it back, The back is not sealed, to titen you must turn the key anticlockwise, A pain when you turn the wrong way and split the job you've almost finished.
There's Nothing wrong with the chuck itself and the finish is beautiful,
It's just that it's not very practical.

Mick61 out of intrest have you ever used one or know what your talking about?
The Gen 3 GP100 may come with a lower price than it's competitors but the build quality and finish is quite high, in fact we have sold over 2000 and have had a lower return rate than chucks made by the other major players.

I assumed Mick61 was refering to my request for a "cheap chuck" rather than (I assume) dengrating Gary's. (My original request is due to me blowing the pocket money balance on my shiney new lathe).

I am going to have to save up a bit to get a GEN3 delux kit which is just the sort of thing I am after.

Yeah, click for my initial review of the GPW Gen 3 110mm chuck.

Have no reason to revise my +ve views since. Well made; good value.

A medium set of Shark Jaws from the VM100 is fitted to it full-time which in my book is one of the most useful jawsets around.

The lathe is just the beginning of a very slipery slope . I can recommend the GPW chuck as excellent value for money, a very well made piece of kit .

Dear Garry I have used a chinese chuck which is free to good home. I also posses two Vicmarc chucks that I am very happy with. I was not haveing a go at any chucks in particular but if you would like to send me one of yours to compare with my Vicmarcs I would gladly do so(LOL).

I was stating my opinion that`s what this forum is about if I have offended anyone that was not my intention.

ring woodfast themselves here in Adelaide their chucks are resonable priced & you will get the adaptor to suit your lathe the first time, I bought an cheep chuck what a waste of money & time as it did not close right. but the one I got from woodfast does and I have had no probs with it
