    Default wood scraps

I collected a few pieces of scrap spruce stud cutoffs from a construction site then tried to decide whether they were firewood or something more useful. They ranged in length from about 6" to 12" and were from 2"X6" and 2"x8" studs.
This is what I decided on and now I am planning to make some more that are properly sanded. Dry spruce requires very sharp tool and good use of the " 80g gouge".
How to waste time with little effort

I'll refrain from asking what they are. "Fun" I think would be the answer.

As surprising as it may seem (especially to me),a lady has ordered 8 of the double units for holding small candles and ornaments for a special occasion. Leprachaun cobblers convention maybe? She didn't say

That has to be the ultimate in playing, when you make something new and someone immediately orders more of them!!

There is something in the design that is attractive and obviously calls to people, including me

I can't wait to see what else you come up with next time you are 'playing' with some scrap timber and the lathe
