Walnut Buckle

This is a walnut belt buckle i just did for a gift. It is 2’’ x 3’’ 1/4 inch thick. These are done with a combination of hand and power carving tool. Shallow relief carving is one of the hardest things for me to carve. With these old eyes I have to do most of it under a magnifying light. That will give you a headache.
