I just love the bird.... fantastic. But I don't like the metal. Perhaps the contrast between the hard lines of the metal components and the smooth flowing curves of the 'bone' strike a discordant note somewhere inside me. Maybe that's what you were after..?
Like it or not..... its not a piece you can ignore!
Was this commissioned or made on spec?

I love it with the metal.
Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

I like this one Undie. Robochook sent back from the future. Maybe the reason the dinosaurs died out?
Pugwash.
Never criticise Australia Post. One day they might find out where you live.

Thanks for the feedback folks...always appreciated
Yep Whittling, the contrast between the opposing elements was the intention..and "discordant note" is an expected (and correct) response as well....Many of my pieces nowadays have these "contrasts" ...I like how this can add a story rather than it being just an object...worse thing that can happen to sculpture is that it is ignored.
what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

Using linear actuators, how fast can chookosaurus run?
For my tastes, I like the contrast of the "soft" and the "hard."
