    Mate created this piece a few years ago,from Red Cedar grown on the Atherton Tableland.Full of figure and rich in colour

    Very caresable looking form that, the pics probably don't do it justice but I get the gist, it's magnificient wood. Do you know what part of the tree it came, I'm thinking way down low?

    Not sure what finished was used.Ithink an oil of some description.

    Nice. I found a stump of red cedar that council had left after trimming trees along the road. The whole root ball was exposed on the slope it was on and it took about three short cuts to remove it. Its been one of the best bit of timbers I've procurred. Always keep a look out for such gifts.

    As long as the timber doesn't collapse too much during seasoning,the stump wood often is superb.Good find!
