Suitable Glue
Hello, I am looking for some advice please.
i have some semi hardwood timber (northern box) that I would like to join on the edge wood. This timber appears to be slightly oily and I have experienced some failure using Titebond 3. Is there an adhesive that is most suitable in this situation.
Any comment appreciated.

I haven’t glued Northern box but I have glued tallowwood and merbau, both with residue. I just wipe down the glue surfaces with acetone, let dry (around 2 minutes) then glue with Titebond 3.
Polyurethane may be better, (try and find a low foaming type) but I’m yet to try that, but I would still wipe down with acetone first.
