Macca, would you mind sending the PM again, I think there may be the very smallest chance that there is a very unlikely, but still possible, chance that I may have ffff...ffffff...fffff inadvertently, by some improbably small margin, deleted it

    Hi FF

There seems to be something wrong about the prices of 54 &55mm, and the 2 largest Imperial sizes of Forstners. US sites have those sizes much cheaper.
I want to include a 54mm in my order.

Oh Wize One, can you give me link to the sites you looked at please? I'll then come back to that.

    Exclamation MieBach-COLT new products

Last night Juergen sent me the full 2011 Catalogue (the one that will be on the website soon). There are some new product ranges in there:

1078 EcoCut Forstners: sound like “Entry Level” Forstners at a very good price

1079 BasicCut Forstners: between 1078 & 1080 MaxiCut in price

1081 MaxiCut Plus Forstners: already in the new spreadsheet that I posted. They are a Forstner bit with a Brad Point guide drill for drilling on an angle. There is also a depth stop available for these.

1080 MaxiCut series now goes right up to 100mm and 4”

I have to do Google translations, assemble the prices, pull the pictures/diagrams out of the PDF etc, so it will probably be 24 hours before I can post all the details.

You will be welcome to adjust your orders if you wish (that’s the easy part).

    Regards, Brett

    Hi FF

I am interested in their auger bits (probably about $170 from the spreadsheet), but I need to sight the pattern. The catalogue on their website, as you have said, is not completed yet.

Can I view these anywhere else? (Please nobody say the US)

Has anybody had experience of this product. I confess I have not waded through the many pages on this thread?

    Regards
    Paul

For instance, 55mm at The Best Things $47, your spreadsheet $71.65.
    2 1/4 at Woodcraft $46.99, your spreadsheet $66.93.
There is a huge jump in Miebach's supplied Euro prices from 50 to 54 and 2 to 2 1/8.

Let me add my thanks to you for the enormous amount of effort you are putting into this on our behalf.
