Camphor blanks and bamboo
We've been cutting down camphor at the local hall. I'm going to collect as much as I can for blanks before it goes in the chipper (30-50 cm). Free pickup from Nimbin. Also some bamboo is coming down (latiflorus) and will have heaps of large culms. I make wind harps from them - a real treat in the garden, will wip or pic.

I know a lady at cawongla (about 20km short of Kyogle along the Murwillambah rd) who has several well girthed trees up to a metre or so, from memory, on and above a creek bank. It has good access. They may have been poisoned recently, from what I know. I went and had a look with a mate some time ago who was interested in felling and hauling some trunk out and saw that the feasibility was good; a lot of work cleaning up perhaps as a couple are branched low. I'm not sure how necessary a tractor would be. Being along a fence line there may of course be a little metal trapped. Still interested?
