Hi Movay. After lots of stuffing around with the wrong brands for a few weeks (and blowing them up or similar) I finaly got a Stihl MS260. A dream to use compared to anything else I tried. Had about a week of beautifully effective cutting out of it. Blew that up on the last tank of fuel in the job. (bad fuel) I'm a bit cursed with chainsaws but think I just got enough work of this piece to sort out repairs and maybe equyip myself with another, smaller finishing chainsaw with a carving bar on it. (fingers crossed). I'd swear by the Stihl tho.

Thanks for advise Movay, was thinking of the 192 top handle stihl with 10'" carving bar. I get pretty close to finished with normal tip ( or finished as pics show ) so only looking for a saw for finishing and the odd small detail. Gotta fix the 260 first tho....

The carving bars can become a serious addiction - love that almost non-existent kickback.
