    Default Toy kangaroo pattern

Toymakers. As a child some 60 yrs ago my father used to almost mass produce little rocking toy kangaroos. In profile about 6 - 8" long cut with coping saw from rough 3/4" timber. The legs looked like gum boots, with a pin through the body to allow them to rock fore & aft, with a pin through what would be the heal to limit the amount of travel. When placed on an inclined board the animal would rock fore & aft, walking his way down the plank. All were painted different colours, some with racing saddles painted on. Hours of racing fun with mum, dad and my brothers.
Now being a grandfather I have tried to replicate these wonderous toys, all to no avail, About 6 prototypes to date and I dispair of ever being succesful in making one work.
Please, does anyone out there on this great forum have a pattern for the little suckers.
    Thanks in anticipation,

    Seadog.
