Can anybody identify this saw?
Hi,
A long long time ago I brought this power 'saw'.
Can anybody tell me what this is and more importantly where I can get new blades from. They are about 2.5" in diameter and are sort of fluted.
Many thanks,
Chris

Chris
It looks like a drill powered saw for cutting hard thin stuff like fibre cement sheet
I suggest you put it to one side as a curiosity
If you need to cut a small amount of fibre cement sheet, an angle grinder and diamond blade is possibly your best option
If it's a significant quantity get a building materials saw or diamond cutterregards from Alberta, Canada

I have never seen one before but it looks like it was for trimming edges rather than a saw.
Back in the 70tes I had a Black and Decker saw that fitted the drill they made also a sander. The saw would rip up to about 2'' thick. The sander was the best of the bunch. All up less cost than the seperate tools but I soon realised I had wasted my money. They worked but so much time spent swapping bits about it was a real pain. I guess collectors may want them now but all up more of a conversation item than a real tool. Anyhoo when that drill died then all the attachment thingies were no more use.
Regards
John
