1st photo roughing out ( finishing is in progress )
2nd finishing cut 1/4 done
3rd photo is of the 1st run of the finishing code
4th a layer of sealer over the furry MDF , once its dry ill run the same finishing program again

repaired the yaxis and finished off the "Cut mould " , put in a block HDPE and ran the same cut program , now i have 2 identical "mould , and cut holder " too play with , the 17mm is at the extreme end of the 3 moulds i will produce ( the plate is 17mm high ) , based on the lower and upper bout ratio , the next moulds will be for a 15+ mm height , and then a 12-mm height , so the five violins in this run , will be
1) 17mm top 17mm bottom ( sound post will be a bugger to get to sit )
2 ) 17mm top 15mm bottom
3 15mm top , 15mm bottom
4 15mm top 11mm bottom
5) 11mm top 11mm bottom
all the circles that made up the drawing were bassed on the bridge foot centre , using the upper and lower bout ratio i came up with the 3 plate heights , yes too the 100th of mm im keeping them secret
just see what difference plate height makes
im very impressed with the cut finish , as smooth as an 80 year olds bottom
could 1/2 the over cut and take 2x longer to machine , but at the moment ill start off with 400 grit paper to polish ( good enough)
2x as long in the cuts puts me at the mercy of "northern territory's Power and water Corp " who says , if you dont like black out's " bye a generator" , if the PC dies from a 0.5 sec drop ,( at least 2x day in the wet season, 10x during a decent monsoon night ) its back to square one , when the power go's out , the PC looses it position , and have to rezero and start from scratch , these are 5 hour machining jobs , if the power says on for 4 hours you will never finish
with the quote i got to get these machined for me ( last year ) , this machine is already 20% paid off
with the 3 plate heights , and 2 rib moulds , after the first R&D set the machine is paid for
