Hello Daz, table looks brilliant, have to ask, is the top two pieces ?? and what stops the top from warping out of shape if it does in our climate ?
I have some marri pieces which i would like to use as small bench tops but am worried about twisting etc .

    Hi Pratty
yes top is two peices, to avoid twisting make sure wood is super dry, then surface slabs and join straight way, sand underside soon as joined then place battens on underside now you can sand and prepair top, then leave it to do all the moving and cracking for a couple of weeks, before you assemble on legs and/or apply top coats
But, this is not garanteed solution, i have had twisting and craking after this also, but it helps

Dazza, wood and finish looks great, but I wonder if the legs and feet look a little on the slim side making the table look a bit unbalanced?

    Hi Bobl
I think the pictures make it look that way
but next one will be thicker, can allways change it, and put legs on another table

    Good point.

BTW I really like the balance you have achieved between the Jarrah legs and the Marri surfaces in the designs of your other stuff.
    Very reasonable prices too!

Thanks Daz, i had a suspicion that is what you did, the pieces i have now have been sitting there for at least two years now, gussing they are dry by now lol..batans are definately the way to go, but will take your advice and leave for fitting for a week or two.
