Lower back pain: clinical guidelines for diagnosis and treatment
Lower back pain is very common and oddly most cases don't have a specific cause. Equally odd is that there doesn't appear to be big differences in outcomes between forms of treatment.
If you have LBP the clinical guidelines from the American College of Physicians is worth a read. Useful info before you consult a doctor or physio.
A minority of cases of LBP do have specific causes and proper diagnosis is essential.
BTW, acetaminophen is paracetamol.
And here is a plain language strategy from our NPS: http://www.nps.org.au/news_and_media..._low_back_pain
Hope this helps some of you.Cheers, Ern
