    Default Gold Coast Accommodation?

    All,

I am looking to have a holiday on the gold coast later this year with family. We are looking for a two bedroom appartment (to sleep four). Any advice from people who have done similar things? We want a pretty cheap place I think, and not too fussed about anything fancy, just as long as it's clean with functioning kitchen/toilet/bathroom!

    Thanks for any answers,

    Sean

I have heard that Versarce (sp?) is very reasonable and not too shabby.

    Sean,

One thing the Gold Coast has is plenty of accomodation!

Outside of holiday times is best of course, try http://www.wotif.com/ for a deal!

    Cheers,

Just came back from a 10 day holiday on the Gold Coast. Stayed at "Sandcastles" at Labrador....just North of Southport. It is around the bay area....not the beach. Gives you easy access to all theme parks, but approx 15mins drive to Surfers.

Cost us about $250 a night for peak season. Room was good, 2 bedrooms, main with ensuite, lounge, kitchen, balcony and separate bathroom for the kids.

Nice swimming pool which the kids liked because there was a sand area at one end of the pool where they can play with the bucket and shovels. Easily found on the Internet with good pictures of what it looks like.

Only drawback is that if you want genuine beach ( ie waves ), you have to go for a drive.
