    Default Murraylands Community Men's shed

We are about to start construction of our new shed in Murray Bridge SA. Our local Council has kindly given us a grant of $91,000 to get the ball rolling. We will be situated, subject to final council approval, on the show grounds. Our shed will be 24 x 12 metres and will include a 6 x 12 metre social/meeting room. We are also creating a community garden with a grant from our State Government.
WATCH THIS SPACE AS WE PROGRESS!! - and thanks for all the advice and support we have received from other Men's sheds around our state.

    Congratulations!

You must have worked hard to get a grant of that size, and the size of the shed sounds fantasic.

Can't wait to see some photos as it develops.

This will be great asset for older men in your community.

Hi to all those interested in our progress. The shed is built!!! and may I add that most of the work has been done by members. We now have 89 financial members and anticipate that we will have over 100 by Christmas.
We have just had a fund raising auction in the shed with items donated by our community and the business Community. We had over 450 lots to go under the hammer, and got through the lot on a 37 degree day, finishing in just over 3 hours. We raised just under $10,000 - a great effort by a bunch of dedicated "Shedders", most over 70 years in age!!
This Thursday 40 shedders from the Riverland region are visiting for a chat and a BBQ lunch in our new shed - isn't that what it is all about?
If you wish to follow our progress, go to our new web page at www.murraylandsmensshed.org
    cheers
    Mick
