Next to the workshop im working in at the moment,
theres an old bloke who builds and restores billiards tables...
some of those larger tables have excellent looking adjustable feet,
if i was building another bench, i would probably grab a set of them,
i wouldnt even worry about whacking stuff on the table top with a sledge hammer with those feet haha... wouldnt phase them at all,
where you would find such things... i dont know, would have to google.

Let me google that for you

... or ask the bloke next door!
    .
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

Yeah, that sounds like an idea.Haven't made any further moves on the bench yet. Had to wait for a new plane blade and copped a stupid injury while out gardening that stopped me woodworking or playing guitar.

Back into it soon. Thanks again for your ideas!

Hafele stock a similar one, - its part number 637.67.900
and last time I ordered some( about 18 months ago) they were $12.95 each.
If I've done it correctly the page from their catalogue is attached.
I've bought from there without an account and just paid cash on pickup before.

Cut the tip of my left-hand thumb off with the secateurs. Nice clean slice, no nerve damage, thankfully. Just waiting for it to stop hurting when I apply pressure on the pad of my thumb, like when fretting with the thumb on the back of the neck.

Nasty! That's my main concern with woodworking! Fingers don't grow back and are essential for playing guitar lol.

Tell me about it. Just have to be as careful as possible, I guess.
Some nerve damage right on the tip of the thumb at the moment, that I hope will pass once it's properly healed. Feels like when you stub your finger and it feels like the tip is missing when you try to press on it.
