New Workshop WIP, needs a little work.

Now you guys are just being silly, why do we need ramps when I can build a perfectly good catapult
Oh yeah all day on the concrete grinder but its done now. Just going to give it a coat of clear matt sealer is the plan at this stage.

After taking the grinder back and a trip to the dump I will reshuffle the white board and another shadow board and maybe a piece of slat wall where I can hang all my packs of glue, hooks, knobs, blades, you know all that stuff that comes off a hook at Bunnies or wherever. I used to just have a heap of nails in the side of my cupboard but a piece of slat wall should work great.

Got the tool boards happening today after a trip to the dump and a few other messages. Just a few more to go on the board and then a rack for the clamps, and put up the welding screen, and put the guttering up accross the back and yeh some other stuff. All in good time.

You obviously haven't seen Newcastle tip, it's the most modern one in the Southern Hemisphere and cleaner than the John Hunter hospital. They even burn the methane and generate electricity. You reverse into a concrete dock with bins on a lower level and toss your crap in. Serious vulture like recyclers hovering waiting to get any droppings. NO FUN at all.

I was thinking the other way, ie I hope he keeps his shed locked up so that potential Jonny's don't pick up the axe and start twitching!

I was thinking I would hang a chain from the beam and a set of hand cuffs on the end in the centre of the workshop, a goodly splash of dark red paint on the floor would be enough to make any Johnny think twice about coming in
The one on the top was a Christmas pressent and has taken pride of place. Not realy practical for the sort of carving I do so will be purerly for blood letting.

Todays efforets, had to put the clamps somewhere so thought on the end of the tool board would do. Picked up another sheet of ply and went crazy again. Once that was done I set about getting back into some productive work. The long pieces of Spotted Gum are a bench top and the shorter pieces are a single leg that goes on one end via a mitred joint. This joint will need to be reinforced on the inside with a piece of timber or metal angle (maybe brass).

Still lots to do on the workshop but will just settle into a pattern of doing a bit each morning or afternoon or when I get board

You might have the world's longest pipe clamp. It almost stretches across all 3 sheets of plywood.

Nice green bricks you've got there never seen felt done that way.

Now its taking shape even has sawdust on the floor, but its time for a new broom that ones a little narrow for such a large area.

Nice to see another perspective bit dark back there though.

I am picking cause I is jelouse of such a workshop.

Hi Ray, yes larger broom is in the shot, just to the right of the "When Worlds Collide" poster against the wall, still takes about 15min to sweep up though Brett, I have had to extend those clamps on more than one occasion, they are about 3m but some of the tables I've made have been 3.5 to 4m. Thats the great thing about pipe clamps, so versitile
Lighting is actualy pretty good, if its a fairly normal sort of day I don't need lights on untill late arvo. If I was marking out some fine detail you might need one but for most things there is good light and ventilation. It will be good to get back to some paying work.
