    Thanks .RC, interesting stuff.

    I get intrigued by the history, I remember reading a book about Frank Whittle and his struggles with the air ministry and rolls-royce to produce a jet aircraft during WW2, one of the reasons the Germans beat them with the Me262, was that Whittle let his patent lapse, in the 1930's.. He couldn't afford the 5 pound renewal fee..

    If you get the chance, try and find some books on Frank Whittle, amazing story.
