Wanted: cheap, temporary shed cladding ideas
I have all my tools stuffed into a small garden shed where they can't be used, and have had for nearly 2 years. I have a carport that will one day be replaced with a proper shed, and then I can move the tools into there out of the weather. At present there are tarps across the sides of the carport, but some rain and wind still comes in, and a lot of water washes across the floor under the tarps. I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to a cheap method of keeping weather out of the carport. It has to be cheap because it would still be temporary, and I can't spend a heap of money when it is just going to get pulled down and replaced some time.
Any ideas? The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Hey Peter,
I'd have a chat with the local shed and/or sheetmetal guys, they usually have a few packing sheets and the odd spare one laying about, a carton or two often helps, they probably wont all be the same color, but you get what you pay for keep an eye out for renos going on, or Roof replacements, Corry is as good as Trim Deck. Just a few thoughts.
Hope it helps.

put down some sleepers and yellow tongue to get the "working floor" above the water
make sure the sleepers are aligned to so the water will wash through
pull down shades at the ends to keep some of the wind driven rain out
cover the tools with waterproof Bar-b-que covers when they are not in use
chain the valuable ones to the ground to deter "light fingered" visitors with utesregards from Alberta, Canada
