Lighting for the shed
Hiya
Our house has finally been rebuild and our new workshop is just about ready for refitting with all the new machinery
I want to put overhead power connections instead of power points.
Does anyone know where I can buy the retactable mechanisms like on the old fashioned pull down lamps?
I am going to need about 1/2 doz.
Thanks and cheers

Wolffie,
That sounds expensive . If you have the head room why not do as I have done and run some overhead wires. Some cheap hooks butchered in the vice with a hammer and a few zip ties and yer done

I would if I could but I can't so I won't
Since the cyclone, our council has gone crazy and everything you do has to be done by a leccie and approved by Council Inspector and Ergon. Just about need engineer's specs as well
We can't even build a Gennie shed of 1 x 1 x 1m without council approval and cyclone rating. Mind you, we never found the old one again, it got YASI-fied and is probably somewhere in the rainforest or maybe it flew all the way to Mt Isa
I can do the connections with chains but would like the retractable ones. I know it will be expensive but............

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, came across this while looking for bits for the van, Retractable power cords.
If you're just looking for hanging cables, try Curly Cords. I've bought stuff from them but only in low voltage.Geoff
