Default quick and dirty sound board finish

i need to finish a raw soundboard [SS accoustic guitar]
i need it done with a minimum of fuss and fiddle - to protect and seal - doesn't need to be high gloss mirror finish - i dont want to go to the trouble of shooting lacquer opr french polishing with a full on level and rubout -

i have thought of using the following:
a few light coats of shellac -
    poly wiping varnish
    tru-oil

i was thinking of surface prepping to 2500 grit and burnished prior to application

be interested in the thoughts of you accoustic guys

dunno what's more fun, buyin' the tools or usin' em'

Shellac can be as fast and dirty as anything. It's reversible , a good sealer or scuff it and add another product.

Wiped on superglue, far more durable than any of the others.

Yeah I do that too. Alternate tung oil and super glue few drops at a time and rub rub rub
