Dust control?
Hey Guys,
I am about to fit out a new small workshop and want to do it properly so I don't get dust everywhere.
What are the best ways to combat dust? Do you have any recommendation on the following points that I should consider?
1. collect dust at source (vacuum + cyclone)
2. air filtration system
3. make it easy to sweep the floor
4. other things?A fool with a tool is still a fool ...

I did it took a while to read all the info but it was worth the time spent. Just I had to remember that it is American and some of the details are different specs

Collecting at the source is the best way, definetely not the cheapest of your options.
But its better to collect the fine dust at the source before it gets into the air you are breathing.

dust collection
If you don't do it right and collect all it from each source sweepng the floor is the least of your tasks. 'Sweeping' the walls and every article in the shed is the end result of inefficient dust collection. Pumping it outside the shed into a storage container will also help a lot.

Definitely try to do as much of this as you can - multiple collection points on each machine work best but of course require a beefy DC
2. air filtration system
make it easy to sweep the floor
4. other things?
Use as big a ducting sizes your DC can cope with.
Keep asking questions and post your plans and get advice before spending $$.
