    Default Electric blue/burr elm hybrid ovoid form

    Hello folks
    Here's another hybrid cast which I poured over a week ago and turned yesterday
    Electric blue iridescent resin with natural edge burr elm ovoid form
    3 5/8" wide by 4 1/2" tall

    You've certainly found a way to make those little off-cuts of burr go further, and what a fantastic effect you've created.

    I'd love to see a video of some turning in action especially the hollowing out part.

    Beautiful work as usual

    I originally thought you had a crack or cast join line, the white arc, but then noticed it was in all photos so assume it is just a reflection off that beautiful shiny surface

    Neil, looks like the reflected edge of his light tent, with the windows framed further out in the background, thats quite a shine, and top pics, let alone the body of work, its stunning.

    yes the reflections are a problem- i'm working on a fix- but these are the best pics i can do at the moment.

    The piece is beautiful!

    The lighting of the object is perfect except for the windows reflected in the piece. If you are not using the windows as a light source, doing the same set up at night should take care of the reflections.
