    Default Planer / Thicknesser

Hi there guys. Firstly, I understand this may not be the best section for this topic, however it is guitar related.

I've purchased some mahogany and maple for 2 guitars that I'm building (flying v and explorer), however the timber is a bit rough, and some of the pieces of wood are different thicknesses at either ends.

I personally don't have access to one to a large one, I only have a electric hand one. The widest pieces are about 220mm wide and 55mm thick.
So, to get to the point of this thread, I was wondering if there was anyone out there who would be willing to plane the timber down to size? I am in Wantirna, Melbourne, and I am willing to travel a bit, but not too far. I am also happy to pay or buy a slab if that makes it more enticing.

    Thanks in advance guys, Nathan.

You should be able to find someone in Melb - but if you can't and need a backup plan, I'm in Ballarat and would be happy to help you out.

    Cheers

Avery's right on don't make a donation, join up. I don't know where you are in Melbourne but it costs $30 to join our shed and $2 per session so you could get a lot of work done.
