Tin Shed for storage

Hi guys,

i am planning on getting a tin shed, something around 3x4m. like a Stratco, Abesco style of thing.
Just wondering how good they are for storage. I know it wouldn't be completely wind and dust proof. I am hoping i can get it pretty well sealed for water.
I mainly want to store furniture, bits and pieces, spare timber. maybe some house hold stuff. I was also thinking of setting up a small bench for assembling or finishing of projects.

Will the items be safe in the shed?

I've had a shed like that for over 20 years. It's very basic, but it remains waterproof. Have to watch the redbacks, though!

My shed is a 3x4 and set up with a bench and my hand tools. Just enough room to do basic hand tool woodwork. The big machines lathe, bandsaw, tablesaw and thicknesser live in the garage. It does stay dry and is suitable for work or storage but you will find it a squeese to do both in that space.

They are water proof and will keep the majority of weather out, but they are not a sealed unit, there are air gaps at the top and bottom. Should be Ok though

my plan is too move all the stuff out of the garage into the shed, and then make the garage the workshop, but i was worried if everyhting is going to end up getting ruined in the shed, then there is not much point to it!!

Some water may get in at ground level in heavy rain so keep stored stuff off the floor on old pallets or timber battens. Treated pine offcuts are great and will not attract white ants. Anything on a concrete floor will soak up moisture especially if in cardboard boxes.
