I've been using the lmi single action truss rods. The skinnier ones. Not the Martin style ones. I don't think I have any left so ill have to get some more. We could do a bulk buy to cut down the shipping if other ppl are interested

I've using these truss rods.
Truss Rods - Guitar Parts: Allied Lutherie
We had a group buy on these over on the ANZLF forum.
I think they are very good and many lutheriers believe they are the best available.
Cheers

I've tried nearly all the major rods and the market and believe the allied lutherie ones to be the best. I always buy those in the batches of 12+ to get them discount.
I've only had one allied lutherie rod break, when I approached them I was informed they had a faulty batch which has now been rectified and they sent out a replacement.

G'day Ray,
I've just had a look on the LMI web site and I think their 2 way truss rods are the same as the ones I bought from Allied.
Cheers

Even if they are the same I've always found the postage from LMII to be excessive and AL is always reasonable. UPS vs USPS I think

Hi Ray, actually they're not the same, the Truss Rods - Guitar Parts: Allied Lutherie are usually not as expensive and I believe they are better quality, the rod is stainless steel so there is less twist during adjustment and combined with the different pitch on the two opposing threads the adjustment is smooth an precise.
Having inspected a number of these from an engineering point of view, I would highly recommend the alliedlutherie truss rods. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
regards to all

Thanks Wal for that extra bit of information on the difference between the two truss rods. I have never bought from LMI but I had been told that the Allied rods are superior.
Cheers
