    Default New Saw Till

I’d been looking for a better way to store the growing number of handsaws in my workshop. I decided that the space on the wall next to the chisel cabinet could house a good old fashioned saw till.
Made of 900×240mm pine biscuit jointed and screwed together, with a Tasmainian oak rail and maple shelf, it cost about $20 to make and about 3 hours time total. The shelf houses things like a coping saw and keyhole saw, while my Japanese saws are on hooks on the outside. The other side houses often used tools like my combination square.
Each saw was used to cut the slot for its blade to get a good fit.
    Cheers
    Andrew

Always good to get things out of the way. But you say growing collection?

well actually it's a shrinking collection, I got rid of about 15 bits of rust pretending to be saws at the same time. I kept the good ones out of the pile. I still have room for a rip backsaw and a small carcase saw if I can ever find where Dad hid it
