    Hi Guy,

I don't want to unpack them at the moment, the job I'm doing involves sulphuric acid solutions, and I want to keep things seperate. But good point about partial sets, I think I could do just about all execpt the smallest.

    Hi Guy & Ray,

i would be interested in getting the partial set also and if it's only the small chisel left to finish, i reckon I could do that myself with a bit of elbow grease.
I'm sure you wouldn't be to sad to see the back end of these chisels Ray

    Regards, Mick.

    Hi Mick,

As soon as I get this battery stuff out of the workshop I'll see how many partial sets I can make up. It might cost a bit extra in postage, but I'll live with that.

    Hi Ray,

thought id drop in to say hi and get the thread back on the first page again.

How are you traveling with the acid job you were doing?

With regard to the postage of the partial/all chisel sets Im happy to throw in a couple of extra dollars for the cost of dispatching the chisels, me thinks it's may have gone up a bit from the original estimates. Let me know what you need.

    regards
    Mick

    Thanks Mick,

The battery stuff is still on my workbench, but now we've moved a bit further along with that project, I can clear off another workbench. So I'll see what needs to be done to start to mail out sets.
Don't worry about postage, The extra won't be too much. I'm happy to handle whatever that is.

A Foley model 385 retoother turned up today, so I need to make time for that as well...

    Foley 385, nice.
Does that mean I may be able to hit you up to punch some saw plate in little batches down the track? Commercial rates of course!

I'm going to have to make the carrier bars and ratchet bars, Hiroller is lending me one to copy, but if the machine works out, and I can learn to drive it. I'd be happy to punch a few saw plates.

    Hi Nick,

I've started out to do that so many times, I'm feeling guilty, about not having sent them back. Soon....

Ray, you will have a lot of fun with the Foley, spent some time with hiroller today commissioning his one - getting the roller(right term?) onto the shaft took quite a while... a bit of a learning curve... but when set up, works great and quick. A few photos to come.

    Cheers
    Peter

Hi Peter, Good news, sounds like you are having fun, can you start a Foley 385 thread over in the saw makers section, it will be good to compare notes. I'll post details of mine over there.

The two Folly machines I had worked ok. but the took up a lot of room. I ran out of saws to cut and file.

I'll be making time next week to sort out the partial sets, for posting, this will only leave the 3mm size to finish.

If anyone wants to have an advance shipment, send me a PM.

The remaining 3mm's will be along as soon as I can.

    Ray

    PS Looking forward to finishing!!!
