I've got one and like it. The fence set-up is a lot better than the old model.

I've got the old one, it was my introduction to biscuit joiners about 4 years ago, I intended to use it until it packed up, it is still going and gets a thrashing when it is in use.
It took three returns to get it right as the fence would jump a sprocket and be out of alignment, I pulled them apart and reset them but to no avail.
GMC came to the party and replaced them until I got one that was right.
My only grizzle is #1 The noise #2 the useless dust collection, either bag or vac as everything clogs in the tube and I resort to using it with no collection and clean up behind me later.
Apart from that a good machine but cannot comment on the newer model.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Thanks for all the advice people, the deal is done. However,it appears that you have to shop around.(as usual) The price started at $170 but after several phone calls we finished at $138!! Not bad, considering the cheapest is still making a mark up.Just makes you wonder what the % is on consumables???
