    Default Adhesive scales

I need to get some adhesive tape with metric scales on them. I need some around 15-20cm long and some around 1.2-1.5m long. Does anyone know where i could buy them?

Yeah, but i can only see a 30in one on carbatec's site (a tad short for one of the purposes) and timbecons' is only 1m long. I am really after something like the 52in version here:

    but availible in australia.

The Carbatec cattledog has a 12 foot tape (metric and imperial) for AUD39. Lee Valley has 4 foot ones (metric and imperial) for US$4.95 and 6 foot ones for US$ 5.95. Are we being ripped off, or what?

Tape might be a good idea, i will cut the required length off one and test how it superglues to aluminium before hitting my fence, for rocker's tennoning jig i'll just rout a dado and use super glue.

Hmm; I think you would be better off fitting a dial gauge to the tenoning jig; you can't really get the accuracy that the jig is capable of from just a tape measure.

I have used fibreglass dressmakers tapes and stuck them on with double sided tape and recessed them below the surface by cutting a groove with the router.

Hi all, when i made my biesemyer style fence for the table saw i was chasing a self adhesive tape for it also, and was ery dissapointed at what was on offer for the money, either way to long or way to expensive. In the end i found a tape with metric and imperial markings on it, 1.2 meters long by about 1/2" wide, metal, and self adhesive, for about $38 i think, from RS Components, was more than i wanted to spend, but it was exactlly what i was after. It might be worth a look...

After purchasing 2 of these tapes from "B" today. I shall now retract my endorsement of these plain paper non-adhesive strips
